Renue Physical Therapy at McLaren Caro Region expands services to include hand therapy treatments
(Caro, MI) – Renue Physical Therapy at McLaren Caro Region is proud to announce the addition of hand therapy services, now available at their Hooper Street location. This new offering is available with Emily Leonard, BS, MSOT, OTRL, providing specialized care for a range of hand, wrist, and upper extremity conditions.
Located at 465 N Hooper St., Renue Physical Therapy at McLaren offers physical and occupational therapy from pediatrics to geriatrics. With the addition of hand therapy, patients in the region now have access to specialized care for hand conditions including carpal tunnel syndrome, fractures, and other common hand disorders.
Leonard’s background includes orthopedic conditions of the hand, elbow, and shoulder, as well as neurological conditions and pediatric developmental delays. She is currently pursuing a certification as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), which requires 4,000 hours of direct practice experience and passing an extensive clinical exam. Leonard is under the mentorship of Christine Clements, OTRL, CHT, who has been a nationally certified hand therapist since 2000.
Renue at McLaren Caro is accepting new patients for conditions including:
- Carpal tunnel syndrome and carpal tunnel release
- De Quervain’s stenosing tenosynovitis
- Pre/post-op distal radius fractures
- Mallet finger
- Medial/lateral epicondylitis
- Nerve entrapment disorders
- Trigger digit
