Renue Physical Therapy adds pelvic health services to Bay City West location

Renue Physical Therapy will add pelvic health services to its Bay City clinic at 3720 Wilder Road beginning Monday, December 5th.
Pelvic Health Specialist Katie Ouillette-Harrington, PT, DPT is accepting new patients for conditions including bowel and bladder dysfunction, incontinence, dyspareunia (painful intercourse), pelvic organ prolapse, and more. Ouillette-Harrington also sees patients at Renue’s Midland clinic at 2524 W. Wackerly St.
Ouillette-Harrington joined the Renue team in May 2022, and has been practicing physical therapy since 2019. She has completed Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation courses, is a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Specialist and became a Sexuality Counselor and Sexuality Educator through a year-long program with the University of Michigan.
“When patients have issues like incontinence or sexual dysfunction, they often don’t realize things can get better and may even feel embarrassed,” says Ouillette-Harrington. “Our goal is to help patients feel at ease and realize there is absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about. I feel so much pride when a patient leaves my care with a better understanding of their body and all the tools they need to continue a path to healing.”
In 2022, Renue has seen pelvic health referrals increase by 45% over 2021.
“Pelvic health is our fastest growing service area,” said Renue Chief Executive Officer Tony Klapish. “This is a specialty service that people are often willing to travel for, but we still want to make it as convenient as possible or our patients. We look forward to serving Bay County patients closer to home with this life-changing care.”
Pelvic health physical therapy is also offered at Renue’s clinics in Caro (465 N. Hooper St.), Midland (2524 W. Wackerly St.), and Saginaw (6137 Tittabawassee Rd.).
