INTERVENTIONS USED

Our team uses evidence-based practices to treat and educate each patient on their specific condition. Our approach leans heavily on education and home exercises to help our patients thrive after therapy is completed. When appropriate, manual therapies including muscle and soft tissue release, mobilization of visceral fascia, joint mobilization for proper lumbar and pelvic alignment, and breathing techniques are used. Therapeutic exercises aim to improve deep internal core strength and support.

INTERNAL EXAMS ARE OPTIONAL

For some conditions, an internal exam can help us gain the most complete information to address the patients symptoms. However, there are many things we can try without an internal exam if the patient is uncomfortable with the idea.

MOST INSURANCES COVER PELVIC HEALTH PT

A majority of insurance providers cover pelvic health physical therapy with a physician’s referral. While there are exceptions to this rule as with all specialties, we find that most cases and conditions are covered.

Pelvic health treatment is offered at our Bay City, Midland and Saginaw clinics. To learn more about pelvic health physical therapy or to request a consultation.
